Welcome to Fashion Pece’s, home of ready-to-wear, custom and upcycled doll clothes. Each article of clothing is sewn by me personally, in 141B the she-shed I remodeled into a sewing and craft studio. Fashion Pece’s is part of the 141B Crafts line of fashionable products for your doll and your home.
A word about the patterns I use. I have enjoyed 18″ doll clothes patterns from Pixie Faire for many years. I believe that these are quality patterns offering a great variety of contemporary and historical clothing patterns from which to choose. I am pleased to provide this link to their site, because if you sew, you will love these patterns! If you don’t sew, well, I can help with that! Be sure to check out their Sew Powerful program. Working on Holiday Sales
Here’s what I’m working on for Holiday sales. This retro outfit will be for sale the weekend after Thanksgiving at the Holiday Market on Route 66 in Atlanta, IL. I’m looking forward to helping you find unique gifts for your child. The top and hip-hugging bell bottoms are from patterns by Flossie Potter TM, and can be found at Pixie Faire TM.

Gearing up for Route 66
All set for a walk in Atlanta, IL! This backpack is a new item, and I think you’ll love it as much as I do! It’s lined, features a drawstring closure under the flap, and is big enough to fit all your camping gear! This is from a pattern by My Sunshine Dolls TM. The pattern can be purchased at Pixie Faire TM. 
And, here’s the back. I found this darling Route 66 themed fabric and chose to put Illinois in the center because the show this weekend will be in Atlanta, IL. Plus, I think the vanity plate is funny. -
Embroidery Embellishments
Today I decided to design a small border embroidery pattern to use as embellishment on these summer short bibs (pattern by Sofie Clarisse Doll Fashon TM found at Pixie Faire). I had added a purchased embroidery border on a pair, which I think is very cute, but wanted some options. When I began the design process, I planned to choose a design, fill it in and add a straight line like in the heart border below. But as I explored the shapes in the library of my embroidery design program, I realized that leaves would make a suitable and decorative line. I added a hint of leaf veins, and the basic design was complete. All that was left was to go out to my sewing studio and stitch them out, fussy cut the bib pieces, and sew up the shorts! I will be sewing large snaps between the bib and the straps to fasten the outfit, and let the dolls try them on for a photo shoot!

Lovely Day at the Festival
Wow! Thank you to all of you who stopped by my booth this weekend to talk dolls and wardrobes. I was humbled by your kind comments about my fashions, and for the purchases you made for yourself or your loved ones! Thank you to the Tolono Fun Day Festival committee for puttng on a fun event that drew in so many families. Even the rain was a welcome respite from the beginnings of our local drought, and the heat of the day. Luckily, it stopped in time for a fireworks finish!

Sweet Dress
This dress is a new style for Fashion Pece’s. Made from a pattern by Love U Bunches TM, which can be found at Pixie Faire TM, this sweet party dress features a back skirt ruffle, a bow at each side of the hip, and a hook and loop closure for easy play. Machine wash cold, machine dry cool or line dry. Iron as needed. The bows are machine sewn to the dress for extra safety and durability.
